Here at LA Fitness we are confident that we have the best service department in the country and have yet to be proven wrong. In an industry that is notorious for over promising and under-delivering you can rest assured that with us there is no fine print and no catches.

If we are unable to deliver on our promises (below) then you will always be offered a replacement or refund to the value of your machine.

Any fault will be repaired within 10 working days of you calling, unless you are not available to let our service team in during normal working hours;
The first year warranty covers absolutely all costs on manufacturing faults. The only exception is a small transport charge if you are out in the wop wops;
We guarantee to have the parts and service team to fix any fault for a minimum of five years and all parts are free of charge (not including general wear and tear) for that 5 year period;
The LA Fitness warranty does not cover mistreatment, abuse, outdoor use or unauthorised repairs; and
A proof of purchase is required on all warranty claims.

Things to be weary of when buying exercise equipment

Back to base Warranties

A back to base warranty means that if anything goes wrong you will have to pay to have the machine returned to the warehouse, and then pay again to have it delivered back to you. As an example, to have an assembled treadmill transported from Wellington to Auckland costs around $400 one way.
Extended warranties that only cover certain parts

Alarm bells should ring if an extended warranty only covers certain parts, such as, 5 year frame and motor warranty. What this says is that there are parts of the machine that the retailer is not confident in covering and they have only chosen the most reliable parts to give an extended warranty on.
